My daughter goes through stages when she absolutely loves certain songs, and right now that song is
by JENNY LEWIS from the BOLT SOUNDTRACK
She can even sing the chorus word for word:
"There is no home like the one you've got 'cause that home belongs to you."
This song is on repeat often in our house, so thankfully it's a pretty decent song for me to listen to as well.
Be sure to check it out, bot the movie Bolt {which is a great movie for kids} and Barking at the Moon.
I love this song.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I never mind when we listen to it over and over and over again.
DeleteI've been practicing it on the guitar so she and I can sing it when I see her next! She's just so dang cute! I just know she's going to be a fabulous singer!
ReplyDeleteIt may be a little bit before she has the nerve to sing it while you play, but it sure will be fun when she does?
DeleteMy kids love that movie- and I think all of the songs are pretty good in it.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteMy little man loves that song and thankfully, I do too.
ReplyDeleteLife is much easier when we can stand the music they love! Be sure to check out my post about Frances England. She is a great children's songwriter than is very tolerable for adults.
DeleteWe love Bolt! Though the first time my kids saw it the beginning scared my daughter a bit
ReplyDeleteI can see how the kiddos would be scared at the beginning. I agree it is intense.
DeleteAlex loves Bolt.
ReplyDeleteGreat movie, very clever. And thank you for introducing me to a great artist/song. We always listen to a song (I just youtube it) at night while the kids are getting ready for bed so tonight it will be this one. What a cute girl.
ReplyDeleteWe have that movie!
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying is, Isabelle inherited her mother's love of listening to songs on repeat? Love it!
ReplyDeleteI miss those days. Even my son(who is six) is caught up in his sisters music. *sigh* SOme of it I can handle, but most of it I just shudder at.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Jenny Lewis. Have you ever seen "The Wizard"? Ha. It is ridiculous. And wonderful.
