Whenever I get any extra money {including birthday and Christmas money} I tend to think about what I should spend it on rather than what I want to spend it on. When I told my mom I spent the money she and my dad gave me for my last birthday on a medical bill she about died of laughter.
But, that's just how I am. I gravitate towards things I need rather than what I want.
Just take a look at the exciting things I bought last week using an AMAZON gift card.
I'll bet you wish your AMAZON shopping cart looked as fun and exciting as mine does!

Emily. I think we need to stage an intervention. It's okay to be frivolous sometimes.
ReplyDeleteOk, but you'll be next. :)
DeleteI'll be there with Karen at that intervention and, hopefully, it will be soon. I get that you want to take care of your needs and applaud you for that, but maybe once in a while, you put your wants first. I'm not crazy about this saying, but it seems to fit here ~ you deserve it! We all deserve to treat ourself to something fun, pretty and that makes us smile ear-to-ear.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hope when I do let loose and buy something I totally don't need that I will have deserved it. :)
DeleteI do that sometimes. Other times I totally buy myself a new book and shirt.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not alone!
DeleteThat's awesome. I've never bought stuff like that from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteDon't knock the pearls...it's the only brand my four girls will use!
