Earlier this year, I got a letter from my friend KAREN in the mail. Her out of the blue letter reminded me how much I enjoy getting handwritten letters in the mail. I suggested we start writing to each other via "snail mail" every once in awhile. She thought that was a great idea.
You should always write letters, simply because your handwriting is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteIt is fun to get letters in the mail. Great idea
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree, especially when they are out of the blue!
DeleteI love getting letters, but my handwriting is so atrocious I don't think I could ever commit on a regular basis!
ReplyDeleteTyping an e-mail is definitely easier. My hand always starts to hurt after I write for awhile!
DeleteNice! I so love real letters.
ReplyDeleteMe too. There's something timeless about it. Even though the Internet has completely changed the way we communicate with each other, a small note in the mail never gets old.
DeleteThis SO reminds me of high school. Remember how I LOVED your handwriting and had you write a page of something so I could copy it?! Good times. I still try to write like you sometimes. I'm always working on my handwriting!
ReplyDeleteI remember that! Too funny. Ya, the interest in my handwriting has continued over the years. I'm a little self-conscious about it and really hope people don't think I try to write a certain way because in all honesty, I just write the way I write, you know? It's not for attention or anything. It's just my handwriting. :)
DeleteThat is so awesome! It seems no one really does snail mail anymore. We have an old family friend that sends us a hand written 4-5 page letter for Xmas and I look forward to it every year!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the Christmas letters too!
DeleteOh I do miss getting letters in the mail!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It really is amazing how little things like that never go out of style. :)
DeleteI love handwritten letters and cards
ReplyDeleteI also love to get letters in the mail. I and my kids write to my grandma, and they have penpals in the kids of a friend of mine. Given, my four-year old just draws pictures and writes her name, but so does the little girl who returns her letters; they understand each other.
ReplyDeleteLove your handwriting! Mine is horrific! However, I have taken to writing a lot on paper lately, and I have my beloved old callous back on the top of my finger. I must have always been doing something wrong to get it, but it is mine and makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something.

I've been having a lot of fun writing real letters to people this year. It's such a cool surprise to come home to something besides bills and sales fliers.
ReplyDeleteHandwriting is a lost art. I love your friend's penmanship--cute, quirky, and smart!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! That's my handwriting. I took a pic of it before I sent my letter. :(
